A little about me...

Hello, my name is Lissa Catalina.

My wanderlust is rooted in finding the beauty in simplicity and seeing the world God handcrafted before me. I cherish the small moments in life and love a good book and honey latte. You can find me where the sun kisses the earth or where the water meets the sand. I hope you enjoy my reflections and adventures, it's been a journey in itself but there's beauty in faith and not knowing what comes next but knowing you're completely taken care of. May your days be filled with  joy, love, laughter and may you always delight in the awe moments that surround us daily.

What I do...

Apr 2012 - Jan 2013-2.jpg

When I'm not studying to maintain my 3.9 GPA in Communication and Public Relations at Boise State University, I'm working as a Bridal Stylist in Downtown. Over the years I've been able to work with various non-profit organizations including Make-A-Wish Idaho, The Idaho Miss Amazing Pageant and The Good Samaritan Home. I've loved the creativity welcomed by event coordinating and creating social media campaigns. Check out my recent work with The Idaho Miss Amazing Pageant Below!

The Idaho Miss Amazing Pageant

Rationale Statement

The Idaho Miss Amazing Pageant is an incredible opportunities for not only participants but volunteers too. As a former pageant girl I understand the uniqueness of this pageant and the significant impact it has in the lives of these girls. The Idaho Miss Amazing Pageant gives girls with disabilities a chance to celebrate their abilities with the world. Being able to work along side a group of talented individuals to bring awareness to this incredible organization has been such a joy.

Through the Boise State Homecoming Parade I was given the opportunity to reconnect with my first buddy, from over two years ago! On the day of the parade I was able to direct the girls as they began to arrive and help answer any questions. Working with The Idaho Miss Amazing Pageant has also allowed me to add to the their social media presence, by creating a content calendar and press release for the organization. I have seen the impact of this pageant in the lives of these girls and being able to share their stories through this organization has been an honor.
