A Night Out And All That Jazz
You couldn't ask for a more memorable night.
The older I get the more I cherish quality time with people who know how to make me smile.
Being able to have my two best friends help me get ready from finding the perfect dress to curling my hair minutes before we arrived. We ate, we danced and laughed the night away.
We stopped by The District for hot drinks while we roamed the town and wandered our way to a live jazz band! It's amazing how music can bring people together, the street corner was flooded by people-- some dancing, some singing along and some just wanting to share the experience with friends over video. As the temperature began to drop we made our way over to Barbacoa for steaks!
A note about my dress: Getting ready for a formal is tricky-- what do you wear? When I went dress shopping I had Louisa Clark in mind. The vintage bright red dress she wears to the orchestra in "Me Before You" was inspiring-- Bold. The elegance of having a formal dress with no embroidery or beading was captivating. Her style in the film is so unique and when looking for my dress I wanted the same, bold.
